About Us
Storehesten AS is a tourism company named after the mountain behind our house with the same name.
Our names are Solveig and Pål Anders, and we live in Bygstad with our three children (Henrik, Sofia, and Johannes), four goats, the Goldendoodle Stella, and the Ragdoll cat Selma. When we're not out exploring or firing up the bonfire pit ourselves, we ensure you have a warm, simple, and exclusive stay at one of our locations.
In addition to unique accommodations, we offer a range of activities and experiences for which you can find more information on our website under the tab Experiences – Take a look and plan a trip to Bygstad and Dalsfjorden – «the hidden fjord with the hidden gems»
In addition to direct bookings on our channels, we can also offer exclusive packages with accommodation and activities for up to 10 people (5 single rooms) at the moment. We are working to expand our capacity.
Why we build small places to sleep
It all started with a love for nature and the urge to give people a break from screens and the fast pace of life. The Birdbox and the other units are designed to bring you closer to nature: a large bed, warmth, a view, simple cooking, and good times outdoors. Less square footage, bigger experiences.
Explore trails that wind through lush forests and over open mountain ridges. Here you will find hikes suitable for both those who want a leisurely stroll and those who want a proper mountain experience.
